Zoellick, Bill
Web Engagement: Connecting Customers in e-Business

BOSTON, MASS (June, 2000)--Addison-Wesley is proud to announce the publication of Web Engagement: Connecting Customers in e-Business by Bill Zoellick. This book is the latest addition in the Addison-Wesley Information Technology Series.

Written as a concise guide for every e-business professional, Web Engagement explains proven strategies that allow managers to understand what their customers need and how they can use their website to meet those needs. Web Engagement provides detailed case studies and illustrates what other web businesses have tried--successfully and unsuccessfully.

"Web Engagement is a response to two needs that I encounter in my consulting practice and in presenting to groups of business managers," says Bill Zoellick. "The first need is to help managers who are at a disadvantage by not really understanding the basics of website data collection and personalization. The second is that I find that many managers can only connect personalization with business to consumer operations. That's too bad, since the pay off from business to business personalization can be huge. These managers need a succinct, thorough overview of the different dimensions of personalization on the web, focusing on business to business applications along with the more typical consumer settings. Web Engagement does just that."

Bill Zoellick is currently a partner in and founder of Fastwater LLP, a consultancy focusing on helping web companies build effective web businesses. He frequently writes about the issues addressed in Web Engagement and speaks on them at user conferences such as Seybold and Internet World and at various user associations and seminars. He has been a software developer, business owner, executive in a $100 million software company, and, most recently, a management consultant and business analyst. He is also author of File Structures (Addison-Wesley), currently in its third edition.
